A good bit of imagination Mohammad NC/USA 10/17/2006 |
This book is not history. It is a long-winded rant gainst all scholars who have written anything about Iranian history. The author does not know any language besides Persian (may be Arabic) and it shows.
The book borders on libel. Don't waste your time. |

12 Centuries Silence Dr. Farhad Assar Oxford/UK 6/16/2006 |
This is the worst book ever written on ancient Iranian history. Its author, an ex-Toudeh member, is bent on destroying Iran's pre-Islamic history. He highlights the inconsistencies in the Greco-Latin literary sources and distorts the contemporary evidence. He has repeatedly claimed that what we have as contemporary evidence of Iran's pre-Islamic history has been fabricated by foreign scholars and archaelogists in order to create for us Iranians a splendid past which never existed. In my opinion Mr. Naser Porpirar is a cultural terrorist and his publications must be banned by true Iranians.
